What is the difference between weight loss and fat loss?
Weight Loss refers to the total weight lost from a person's body, including muscle, bone, water, etc. Fat Loss refers to the fat mass lost from a person’s body. Weight loss is a complete change in lifestyle to someone who has been overweight for a long time. One will need to change their diet and start exercising. Fat loss is putting on muscle through weight training and cardio, then eating right so you have an energy surplus to keep that muscle, and that's it. The idea behind fat loss is not just about weight but going after specific body parts like abs, thighs, arms or anything else you may want to work on. It's all about what defines your body type and goes after the ones that are more difficult for you. There are two types of weight loss, fat loss and weight loss. Fat loss is about losing the fat you have on your body to get a leaner and healthier appearance. Weight loss is about reducing the number on the scale by burning more calories than you eat. A person can only lose fat cells and not any muscle mass if they are adhering to a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. A person could also be graduating from being overweight to obese (or vice versa) while only losing fat cells and not any muscle mass, which would make it difficult to use a scale as an accurate measure of their efforts.
